Lip Flip

Many patients feel that their upper lip ‘disappears’ when they go into a full smile or laugh. In these patients, the muscle around their mouth which controls the lip contracts heavily, causing the upper lip to curl in on expression.

In those who dislike this, we can place small amount of neuromodulator into the affected muscles to relax it and therefore giving more upper lip show when you smile/ laugh.

This will not give volume or change the shape of your lip in the way that lip filler does but is simply to increase the amount of lip show on expression.

This treatment can be done as a standalone or you can also do this alongside lip filler if you would like to have more volume in your lips at rest and on expression. The patient on the left had no filler done, but only a lip flip.
